This report evaluates the performance and impact of DAE-Creative Bootcamp in Argentina during its first three years of implementation (2023–2025), examining its contribution to the growth of design-based startups and the development of a sustainable, scalable support model for the creative economy.

As creative entrepreneurs face increasing challenges in scaling their businesses, accessing specialised training, and connecting with international networks, there is a growing need for programmes that combine technical assistance with long-term ecosystem development. DAE-Creative Bootcamp addresses these challenges through a partnership between the British Council and Fundación Bunge y Born, bringing together local expertise and international exchange to strengthen Argentina’s design sector.

The evaluation focuses on the programme’s implementation and outcomes across Argentina, drawing on documentary analysis, interviews, case studies, and participant surveys from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts. The report explores the programme’s influence on participating startups, implementing institutions, and the wider creative industries ecosystem, while also considering its contribution to sustainable development goals and its potential as a transferable intervention model.

Key findings include:

  • DAE-Creative Bootcamp has established a distinctive identity within Argentina’s creative industries ecosystem through its combination of international expertise, personalised mentoring, and business-focused technical assistance.
  • The programme’s 360-degree methodology, integrating collective learning with tailored one-to-one support, has helped participating startups strengthen commercial, strategic, and communication capabilities.
  • By December 2025, 45 design-based startups from across Argentina had participated in the programme, demonstrating its capacity to achieve national reach and support ventures beyond major urban centres.
  • Strong collaboration between Argentine and UK partners has created a sustainable knowledge exchange model, fostering institutional learning and strengthening international cultural relations.
  • The programme has demonstrated the characteristics of a scalable and replicable intervention model, with particular strengths in supporting women-led ventures, promoting triple-impact entrepreneurship, and contributing to sustainable development objectives.
  • The findings suggest that DAE-Creative Bootcamp represents an innovative and exportable model for supporting design-led entrepreneurship, with valuable lessons for creative economy programmes in Argentina and beyond.
