Following the first ELT week organized by the British Council Argentina in March 2023, we launched our series of ELT talks! These online sessions are focused on providing teachers of English in Argentina with useful insights, tools and resources they can put into practice in their classrooms. Each session features renowned ELT experts discussing on different subjects that are relevant for English Language Teaching today.
On May 17th, we hosted our first ELT talk: “Are we learning? A practical exploration of assessment in ELT”. Claudia Rey presented on formative assessment, its differences with summative assessments, and tips for effective practices. Gustavo Gonzalez talked about assessment from a practical point of view.
